FULL CIRCLE SPIRITUALITY

A Little About
Us.

We formed Full Circle Spirituality after two decades of friendship and a decade and a half of immersion in the modern healing world and the world of spirituality.

We have long held a deep desire to support people on the awakening path, and over time came to recognize the particular challenges moderners face as they seek support from spiritual paradigms and institutions. We saw that many of these particular needs were not being addressed by spiritual teachers and centers. We saw and experienced the harm this causes.

Our work is meant to correct the imbalances still perpetuated by so many within the world of spirituality. Through our more inclusive approach, we facilitate awakening for people who have gotten stuck, been harmed, been left out of, or even decompensated as a result of spiritual practice - as well as for people who just want a spirituality that is more effective, and more whole.

We are both therapists and spiritual teachers who have studied trauma, the nervous system, and parts work in depth. We’ve deeply explored internalized patriarchy and white supremacy and are working to reclaim the parts of ourselves these cultural relics exiled. We’ve studied spiritual bypassing and spiritual abuse. We’ve worked to uproot that within us that would preference either the relative or the ultimate perspective.

Our spiritual background is in Theravadan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, non-duality, feminine and earth-based spirituality, and intuitive dance.
We specialize in supporting modern egos through the awakening process.

No Part Left Out.

We named our practice Full Circle Spirituality because we know that awakening requires a radical process of inclusion.
Watching the moon at midnight,
Solitary,
Mid-sky,
I knew myself completely,
No part left out."

- Izumi Shikibu's enlightenment poem, around 1000 A.D.
No part left out. Too often spirituality has left out the human perspective, feminine and indigenous wisdom, the body, the nervous system, and much more. We know that for awakening to fully flower, all must be recognized and included.

This is our mission, to leave no part out.

We have also recognized that awakening has particular movements - a movement of transcendence, and a movement of embodiment. Adyashanti describes these movements as "up and out" and "down and in." We recognize our awakening has not come circle until it is integrated and embodied.
Until it comes full circle.
